With Valentine's day fast approaching I'm reminded of not just my single status, but also that there is currently tons and tons of chocolate available in every store. And that it's going on discount after the 14th. Seriously, for a chocoholic like me this time of year is heaven. Of course, I'm going to buy it for myself, instead of receiving it from a guy, but that doesn't bother me too much. Yeah it would be great to be dating someone. And for someone who's never even been on a date, EVER in my 23 years of life, it would be really, really nice. However, it doesn't get me down too much because it just means that the right guy just hasn't crossed my path yet. Also, just because I'm single, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the decorations, and gifts that spring up around this time. I don't get bitter about it, and boycott V-day, I simply feel saddened that I can't always buy a lot of the cute stuff that are in stores right now. I mean who doesn't want a cute stuffed bear with hearts all over it. (I'm picturing the one from Build-a-Bear Workshop.)
So my sister and I have decide to celebrate in our own way as two single young ladies. We're going to get some Italian food, ice cream, bake up some brownies, and cookies, then sit back and watch some romantic movies. Maybe even some horror if I can convince her to watch some. Just because we're single doesn't mean we can't have some fun too on that day. What are your plans this Valentine's Day?
